About Living Hope Church
Living Hope Church is a community of faith in the city of Port Hueneme and Oxnard area. We are a multi-cultural and multi-generational church comprised of people from different experiences, backgrounds, and cultures. We celebrate diversity and strive for unity and together we are learning to become committed followers of Jesus Christ and to become a church that exists for the spiritual, material, social and educational needs of our community in the name and love of Jesus Christ.
We are a church that is committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, teaching God’s word, helping people become committed followers of Christ, and serving the people and families in our diverse community and beyond.
Our History
Easter Sunday, 2015 the Elders of Word of Life and Westminster Church started a fellowship group called “The New Church on Bard” with the dream of eventually starting a church that would embrace people from all walks of life following Jesus Christ and exist for the benefit of the people that live in Port Hueneme & South Oxnard.
During the spring and summer of 2015, the fellowship group experienced God’s grace and blessing. Having sensed the Holy Spirit’s call to form a new church, the leadership team of the fellowship group decided to form and launch “Living Hope Church” on Sunday September 27th, 2015.
